Well, the only thing you have to worry about right now is the ampmeter. You always wire a 12 volt system negitive ground,(unless you are using some old european generators). All the US alts are neg ground. For ease you might want to consider a 1 wire alternator. If you look in the archives you will find a wiring diagram and information on how to do it. take it for what its worth, because I'm JUST AN IDIOT
