That is the way I am feeling lately. Feeling like staying home, not buying tractors anymore, at least not from people I do not know. I was serious enough to be in that man's town to pick it up myself, but too late of course. We do share the same philosophy, I like to tell the person everything that is wrong with a tractor, before I tell him what it's good points. If you don't have a good name, then what do you have? When I sell a tractor I usually offer to haul it for him, my rate is .80 a mile, which is fine up to a certain distance and that too can get too expensive. I think that if a guy buys a tractor from me I do my best to help him get it home. In my case with the one fellow, all I had was a p.o. box, and a telephone number and he never once called me in the whole time. Seems like if that tractor sitting at the back of his lot was in his way enough to have it hauled clear to Abileene then you think he would have dropped me an email? I had emailed him several times and even bought some parts off of him before I bought the tractor. I had no trouble getting them, but a piston was broke and the heads had to be repackaged at the post office. He simply said that it had never happened before, never offered to make it right. Some people are fine with saying tough luck, me and I suspect you as well, would not want the other person to be disatisfied.
