I agree that you don't need a live PTO for what you are going to be doing. My Jubilee has live PTO, and I only use it when running a baler. The 8N's lack of live hydraulics would be a PITA for me. I would suggest a Ford Jubilee, Ford 600 or 800 series, Oliver Super 55 or 550, or Massey 35.
