Grandad used DCs for years. They were a very good tractor, might be a little big for 2 acres, but that's okay. Wide front? He did it twice, much the same way the factory did it, except stuff was built up from weldments instead of cast. One had a non adjustable witdth square tube, the other a round tube AC front from the junk man, both were butt UGLY, but worked. He built a 3 point for both as well. BUT, why fart around modifying a nice old tractor into something its not? You can save a lot of time (and probably money) by just continuing shopping for the utility tractor that you seem to really want
