Just a little side lite to what happened to this gentlemen. I have started using the screw in flourescent bulbs in my drop lights. The element does not break when you bang it , and it does not get as hot. I never considered something like happened to this person, but the bulb does not get hot enough to explode when hit with a liquid (I don't think). Hope the gentleman makes a complete recovery. I also hope that this may keep someone from getting hurt.
