Well, I would have told him to buy one, but these machines aren't like tractors... Just because the engine runs doesn't maen anything. You'll have problems with the rusty bands, bad shoes, ect, and after a while, you'll have more invested into the mechine to get it to move then it is worth. If you were to dig pounds for a living, I'd say go buy, but otherwise, go hire someone who knows what they are doing.
