I have a Ford F-150 4WD, 300-6, 5spd, and 308 gears. This truck is rated for 2000 lbs towing. I have been informed that if I change the differential gears to 410s, stiffen up the rear suspension, and add a receiver hitch, I should be able to tow 6300 safely. This setup would be about the same as the Ford factory setup that was rated for 6300. You might want modify your truck to get some more towing capacity. At any rate, you will be happier having enough truck so you feel you are in control of the load, and not vice-versa. Good luck.
