: I would suggest considering a newly patented self-sharpening mulching blade with a very "high-lift" feature. The blade is being test marketed by me. If you would like to try these blades (and help in the test marketing of this product) please respond to my e-mail address ASAP. I will need to know the length of your blade (measure a new one) and the center hole I.D. Also, the blade we are marketing is only available right now with a center hole mounting and a clockwise rotation cutting. Hope to hear from you. Stephen Hunley Ever-Sharp Blade Company : : : : : I have been having difficulty when i cut my lawan there seems to be 2 lines of : : : uneven cut grass left behind as i cut my lawn. i have replaced blades and belts. : : : I have measured ground clearance on all blades and they are even. : : : If anyone can help me it will be greatly appreciated! : : : Thanks in advance : : I had trouble finding the high lift blades for my cadet also. I finally found a used set. I sharpened them and tried them, but I think the original blades cut better than the high lift ones. The high lift really helps the discharge and will probably help this fall when I get up leaves with my home made vacuum trailer. : : I'm in the same boat with my Cub Cadet with a 44A mower deck. I have identified the problem as blade design. The newer blades have a greater airfoil on the blade tip that provides the lift to achieve a better cut and better ejection out the chute. I've been told that high lift blades are available but haven't been able to find them. I have another Cub that has the blades modified by adding about 1/2 inch of steel to the airfoil of each blade and believe it of not I can even get a decent cut in high gear!! I've been told to try and find "Gator" mulching blades too. I'm with limited time to actually search locally at this point and have been unsuccessful online finding a source. I have some "feelers out and I will post results here when I find a fix for this problem.
