The NH 315 was made from 1975-82 and is considered a high capacity heavy duty model with an extra wide pickup. The Ford 532 was made from 1975-81 and is a standard model while the 542 is the HD model. The 315 is far superior to the Ford baler, it weighs about 500 lbs. more, floatation tires, wide pickup and better twine storage. I owned a 532 and it was a decent baler but parts are very hard to get now and NH parts are not problem. The 315 should be worth 5-10 times the price of the Ford, which might be the best feature of the Ford now. I have a 316 and there is no comparing it to the 532 I had. I've seen Fords going in the $300- 500 range.
