Doesn't the wrist pin pivot in the rod end rather than the piston? If so, why would you need oil holes in the piston? I think Caterpillar is the current owner of Perkins... if you can find a good partsman or mechanic at your local CAT dealer they might know if there are supposed to be oil passages in the wrist pin bosses on the piston. -- bbott
