I have a Kubota L2550DT 4x4 about the same age with the same hours and well taken care of. It has a loader and backhoe, which I use most of the time, but I take them off and use it for field work and haying in the summer. Kubotas are fabulous machines, I think you got a good deal if it hasn't been abused, from what I have seen many of these small tractors have sat in someones garage and just been idled around a bit once in a while, that is the way mine was. The best thing you could do for this is to take it out and give it a good long workout. I did this to mine discing for an afternoon at just below rated speed and keeping an eye on the exhaust for black smoke to make sure I didn't overload it, it ran better and cleaner afterward. A friend of mine has an older one about 15 hp that he uses a 5 foot brush hog on,he loads it so much it smokes like an old steam train almost and is always killing it when he hits thicker brush, he hasn't ruined it yet so I know they can take a beating. I have been impressed with how fuel efficient mine is, an added benifit is I can run it inside the barn or shop without killing myself with exhaust. they are very clean burning machines. You will like that tractor. Also try www.tractorbynet.com Lots of info there and a good discussion board too. Chris
