I heard of a LARGE Construction Equip. mfg. in Davenport, IA. there's only one now and it's THAT one) had 2-3 large V-8 diesel engines blow up because the oil jelled up in the crankcase but that was 10-12 yrs ago. It was a result of extreme rapid temp change.
