Sounds to me that you are not like the guys who get it going, grit blast at it and blow over it quick with a cheap top coat of paint, then offer it for sale as fully restored inside the week. Enjoy doing it, learn from yours or others mistakes (experience), do it the best you can and hopefully enjoy it for a long time afterwards. It should be a labour of love not a millstone round your neck. So tell us when you are finished, or how you are getting on or when you are stuck. Then we'll all know how long!
