Most ignitions won't give a 10 per cent increase, unless one has resorted to nitrous oxide or is running way over 5,000 rpm. Hot Rod and the other rod magazines have run dyno tests on those things. Multiple spark ignitions do seem to improve starting, and they do help milage out to some extent. Starting has never been a problem with our MH50's Z134, and we used her up in northern Minnesota for 5 winters. We do sometimes get plug fouling under light load, like raking for hours. It's not a big problem, and I was just wondering if anyone out there had messed with MSD in some situation short of tractor pulling. Autotronics, the people that make the MSD brand name, would have you believe that radio interference can be lessened by using spiral wound plug wires and if necessary a static filter. That kind of plug wire was used on the Chev. The cam was broken in with the engine on a test stand, but the engine has not run yet in a car. Since I plan to run tube headers, radio reception quality may not be a biggie under the best of circumstances. I appreciate the inputs.
