Personally, I hate automatics in a vehicle. I do like powershift in dozers and tractors, to a point. But in over the road vehicles, I just plain hate driving an automatic. I don't like floating along with no control over the rig, and I don't like 4 speed auto's that make a rig scream just to get some speed up, and then shift up and down, up and down. To me, that's distracting and bloody annoying. Beyond that, if someone finds that driving a manual takes that much of their time or concentration, they probably ought not be driving one anyway. It's second nature or it's not.... Rod
