Dear Ox Ridge, Its been years since I had 350 and 400 Farmalls, but I thought they were gravity feed with no fuel pump to get gas in oil the one way posted below. I usually find the floats set too high or not closing due to dirt in needle valve or seat or even a hole in it causing it to sink, but that would cause way over rich running and richening out and dying with gas runnin out the carb. I recall those dont have any low oil pressure emergency cut off diaphrams, cause thats one place to get gas in oil. I vote for high float or leaking needle valve/seat or float with hole. Dont you always shut off gas at sed bowl when not running, if so, that may cure some of your problems. John T in Indiana jmn50@msn.com
