Ron, I agree 100 percent with the excellent advice of zane and Chris. I had a 38 Plymouth that was so moisture sensitive it wouldn't start even if rain was only forecast. Leaky wires, dist. caps with hairline cracks or carbon paths that hold moisture, and those leaky distributor wire and coil wire boots are a prime source to leak off high voltage under humid conditions. I would try new plug wires with good new sealing boots, assuming theres no cracks in the dist cap and it has a gasket or you apply silicone to seal it as zane suggested. However, do not seal any vent type features some caps have built into them. They make an ignition sealer spray that you spray on the cap and wires also. It still seems like those boots are a good first place to suspect, and it helps to not have the wires up against steel as much as you can. The higher the voltage, the more likely leakage current will find a source back home. John T
