Since it is a gas, I would suspect the choke is not closing completely. All the 3 cyl. gas Fords I have had were all cold natured and the choke had to be closed tightly to start them. Also had to be left closed slightly to keep them running till the coolant had a chance to warm up. The intake manifold is on the opposite side of the exhuast. Therefore it had to rely on heated coolant to vaporize properly. Sorry about the amps to watts. GEO
