Hello all, sorry I have been pressure washing the fins on the radiator as they are plugged 3/4 the way up. it took me 3 days, 6 hrs the first day 5 1/2 hrs & 8 1/2 toady but it's cleaned out now. It came from a farm in Alberta & it's probably never been cleaned. Hope that was the problem as I won't be testing it out til tomorrow. As for the tractor shutting down, I don't know about Murphy switches but I never had a temperature gauge working as the top of the temperature plug was broke off when I got it. At that time I don't know how hot is was getting but I would make 3 trips around the yard & it would just die. It was hot as antifreeze was coming out of the over flow stem as far as I could see. Few hours later it would start back up. I have a temperature plug now & I took the Thermastats out & got & got 5 trips before it quit. The day I posted was the day I tried it & got 5 trips around the yard & it died in the middle of the driveway. I looked at the temperature gauge & it said over 200. So it must have something in the engine to shut down when it gets hot. I hope that is all it was. I Greatly Appreciate all the advice. Sorry it took me so long to get back to the site. I saw the first post about fins & tubes & have been working on the fins. They are all clean now. Thanks again to all. I will keep you all updated how it goes tomorrow.

Sincerely, Ted
