Since nothing else solved the issue, I ordered a compression tester, it showed up yesterday. 2 cylinders had almost zero compression. I had discounted that as. Possibility because I could see the valves through the spark plug hole and they looked good and moved properly. The cylinders looked good too. So when it came up as no compression I was surprised, but knew right away what the problem was. All the exhaust valves were tight, but 2 were holding the valves open a bit. As soon as I loosened them it fired right up. It was too late to properly set and adjust everything, but I'm sure it will run good now. Sure could have saved bunch of time and money if I had started with that. Lol. Guess that's why mechanics make the money they do.
