In a prior "Reflections of Farm Life" photo a toy wagon was seen. Someone mentioned they must have had some money.
I doubt they had much money; more likely, a neighbor or family member was a talented craftsman. It was also mentioned that they didn't show the family dog in the picture.
Well, here is a picture of my Dad taken about 1915 with both his toy wagon and the family dog. I can assure you my ancestors didn't have much money. My Dad spoke of the wagon and the dog but he never told me who made the miniature farm wagon.
It is a real a work of art but unfortunately, it was lost to time.
You can see that it had a "hay riggin'" mounted to it just like the real one I can remember my granddad having.
He told me the dog was also used on a dog tread to power the cream separator.
The people on the wagon are my aunt Bea and two of her friends.
