Hello folks! We are starting to put our JD4020 back into service and there will be a ton of questions on how to make as few mistakes as possible. This tractor belongs to my Dad, now almost 96 years young. She's a working girl and looks like it but cosmetic improvements may come as parts come off for service. Beyond that, we like her just fine the way she is.
First order of business for us is to get it running after having sat for years. Are there any pages here where I should start looking for this model specifically? Not having much luck searching out details, yet. Seeking articles/advice on common problems with getting a long sitting tractor going without damaging it. Almost everything in life has it's own combination, as you know.
As a near term example of assistance, this tractor had a loader before my Dad bought it. I'm looking for info on JD loaders that fit and are well recommended to this model. So far the 148 and 158 have been mentioned to me. not entirely sure the practical differences.
