i got this tractor last fall. been spending the warmer afternoons working on it. got the fuel tank leak fixed with jb weld. soemone suggested to use seal all. that was a total waste of time . left it to dry for a week and noway. i was not even going to test it with diesel i scrapped it all of with my finger nail . then cleaned it all up again and used jb weld. tested it and good after a few days. got the tank back on. checked and set the valves , not out much. checked the timing all good. got it started few days ago. engine missing on one cyl. blowby like a buggar. hummm blowby thats stuck rings. loosened each injector line up and found number 6 cyl made no difference and the smoke disappeared loosening the line. yep thats the culprit. pulled number 6 injector out. turned it over with thumb over the hole and would not even blow my thumb off. poured in a cup full of atf and let it sit for 2 days. yesterday tuned it over by hand and squirted the oil out of that cyl. tryed the thumb thing and wow got some pressure. put injector back in and started it up . then tightened injector and she smoothed right out , hitting on 6 cylinders now. now on the hunt for some rear tires as they are all rotten and flat. then i can give them cylinders a break in under load to seat them rings again. i sure did not want to start tearing the engine down. fixed lots of stuff on it. one hyd. hose was blown. replaced that and filled the hyd's. solder up main fuel line had cracks. replaced the fuel filter also and gave it an engine oil change too. it was pretty cool today but it did start with the preheater. see later how it works in the field.
