bruce, actually any engine would work, what i meant to say, was use a front wheel drive car and xmission, the drive shaft comes out both ends (one for left wheel,, one for right) and these are at wheel speed (unlike the rear wheel drives) and by putting the engine and xmission front to back as in a tractor, you now have a drive shaft out the front and one out the back. run these to pick-up (dana 44) axles shortened (skinnier)and you pick up another reduction (which you have to have) if you still run similar sized tires (16") your speed will be more like what a tractor should be. 40 mph on 'speedo will give 10 mph real speed. i kinda like a toyota tercell 4cyl engine, very nice running and compact. but the v-6 from dodge would be more plentiful. hope this clears it up. if not email me at digger_doug@hotmail.com
