Evening folks, I just installed a new clutch kit in my 1987 case IH 585 (2wd). I'm positive the disc is facing the correct direction. It's just not disengaging all the way, only like 1/2 of what it should be. I've spent hours fooling with the adjustments with no difference. Everything looks ok through the inspection hole. I split it again looking for an issue with non to be found. I can't quite tell if it's bound some where or not, but the clutch fork throw isn't right. It doesn't seem like enough throw. I got a little forceful trying to see where the pedal bottoms out, and it bent the adjustment arm twice. I put a pipe wrench on the fork shaft, it seemed to be bottoming out at the same spot with or without the linkages connected. I'll make a new linkage, that's not a problem. I'm just trying to think of what could be causing this. I'm considering adding spacers in between the pressure plate and flywheel, or possibly messing with the adjustment bolts on the pressure plate. Also, it does seem like the space between the throw out bearing and there pressure plate is a lot more than it should be. Maybe I need a deeper throw out bearing? I would really appreciate any and all help. Thank you
