Okay I did a test of the coil. It is a 6 volt system in the coil is a resistor.
I'm checking the ohms in the coil. When I touch the left and right side positive and negative on the coil I get a reading of 000.
When I connect the positive side to the middle of the coil I get a reading of 988. Same goes for the other side. This thing has set up for 6 years and I'm trying to get it to fire up the points look good. But I am concerned about the condenser. I changed out the plugs got it gapped accordingly. I haven't changed the wires just yet or the distributor cap. What are the wires coming off the distributor that goes to the coil I had to put another washer in between because the other one was dry rotted. Does anybody follow what I'm trying to do. LOL
But the readings for the coil that I stated above does that mean the coil is good or bad?
