Randy, not sure if you remember me but you had given me some advice on 12 volt wiring in a 53 jubilee. I checked and my alternator is externally regulated. Not sure what the problem is. Several people have talked about bad regulators which may be possible although this one is brand new. It could be it is wired wrong. I have the whole wiring on paper and if you or anyone else could check it over I would appreciate it. I think it is pretty standard except for a toggle off/on switch that some previous owner added. There is a wire from the + post on the battery to the key on the other side of the key there is a wire which than splits, one to the coil and the other to the toggle switch, after the switch this wire goes to the B hookup on the regulator. I have to turn both this and the key off to stop the tractor when running, not sure if this could have anything to do with my overcharging problem. Thanks for any and all advice.
