It depends alot on the trailer. A 3/4 t or 1t witha good 5th wheel trailer can tow up to around 30,000 lbs. I do it reqularily. Liscense accordingly, & some states require stops at scales. Don't expect a new warrenty to cover it though. If your out west buy a BIG truck, lisense & insurance are about the same, in the mid-west & east the rape you on the BIG trucks, & make it impossible for the casual user to afford. I have a 26' beavertail w/ 3 - 7,000lb axels w/ electric brakes. I've scaled around 32,000 a few times, no problems. I pull with either a 1974 Chevy duallie w/454 , or 1993 Dodge Diesel 3/4ton. the Dodge has more power, but w/o duals doesn't handle as nice with trailer
