A follow up to my problems.I tried screwing the fuel fitting to sediment bowl assembly again and this time, it did not leak. I must have simply not done exactly right before. Then, started the tractor and added a little bottle of Bars Stop Leake concentrate to the radiator and water and it seems to have stopped the leak in that. I allowed it to idle about 15 minutes and will add some ant-freeze coolant too before running again. There was a little smoke coming up from base of the exhaust pipe where it clamps on top of tractor, not much but never got worse before I turned it off. I had added some Seafoam before starting to fuel tank and oil because I thought it was sputtering a bit the last time I drove it but may also have been low on gas, not sure.
