Look on this list back to last Thursday where we ran this topic nearly into the ground... All I can add is to find a catalog of older tractors and their features get a copy of Lester Larson's "Nebraska Tractor Tests 1950 to 1975." It gives thumbnails of the most popular tractors, with weights, speeds, and horsepowers. Then look for books with used tractor prices and serial number lists. I see these and Larson's at the local Ames CT store, but only the price lists in CT's catalog. Get a CT catalog, 888-8CT-FARM. Use it as a rough reference for parts availability. If it doesn't list a tractor you are looking at, it could well be that the parts are not made, or at least are hard to find. While its a bit bigger than the utility tractor you probably envision you will find the JD3020 will do a lot more work for the same price as the compact utility tractor. Though by spring I should have a MF-135 ready to sell. I bought a JD4020 and with bigger plow and disk I raised better field crops on 1/3 the tractor hours. Gerald
