Hello Gill welcome to YT! I really know nothing about your tractors transmission. Here is a link to the factory online parts book. I did not study them to long and I do Id not see anything right off that says ..forward and reverse.. to me the gear naming is a little different. Maybe by looking at what levers and linkage move when shifting maybe that can help you to find the correct assembly that has to do with forward and reverse. If by any chance you need to tear into it and decide to do it yourself I would highly recommend purchasing a repair manual. Hope this helps. Here is a copy paste incase you are viewing this on a phone. The following does not apply to viewing on a PC. Since the New Holland parts site was reconfigured in early 2022 I have found that when viewing on my iPhone expanding the diagram in the box is much clearer. This is the ..preview.. box you see before you go into the actual subsection that gives the diagram and the parts list. Also holding your phone side ways lets you see more of the site navigation links at the top by the ..Home.. button. I do not know if this applies to Android phones.
