Well, I don't think any buyer really expects to pay less than the seller has in it. Except, maybe in those circumstances where seller has item overpriced, has to much money invested in it themselves, or they not factoring in an adequate amount of depreciated value while they have owned it. I am talking about all aspects. You as a seller for example. You'd like to think you got as many dollars as you could out of something, after you sold it, wouldn't ya??? Rather not hear about it, if you didn't? So, ..... probably wouldn't be to happy to hear about leaving, say, a few hundred bucks on the table? I know this is going a little down the what if, what if road. But I think most sellers would not want to hear that they sold something to cheap. And most buyers would rather not hear that they could of got something bought cheaper, even if they paid a fair price. I guess my point here is, what is, is what is, but might be middle man's best interest to stay a little on the quite side. As to not rub anyone the wrong way by leaking to much info.
