Wendell, I recently replaced a seal and brake band on the left side of my Super A, which should be the same as a 140. NO FUN! Took about 6 hours work, but I did it alone (not recommended). I used a tripod and winch to support the weight of the final drive housing which must be removed as a unit. Be certain to remove all bolts which secure the final drive to the differential housing, not just the obvious ones — there are a few behind. When you remove the final drive unit the brake band comes off with it. Be sure to unfasten the brake rods first. On the right side separate the tractor between the final drive housing and the differential shaft housing. While it's apart replace any bad seals, bearings, etc. Be sure to adequately support the tractor to prevent tipping front-to-back as well as left-to-right. I fashioned 3 six-inch-long pilot studs (dowels) to aid in re-mounting the final drive housing onto the differential housing. This was a definite plus when trying to align it in order not to destroy the brand new seal. Be careful, have fun and good luck. John McDevitt
