Tires are made from oil, so give a coat of oil.
I would take a paint brush and apply used motor oil.
Before I spray paint rims, I apply a coat of used oil to tire so paint won't stick to the tire. Then use diesel fuel to remove paint and oil. Tires will soak up oil like a sponge.
