Not that they were a bad tractor, I just never could figure out why they thought they needed to have a hand clutch on the SC and DC. I know, the last of the SCs had a foot clutch. That just says to me that they knew all along it could be done. I've had two SCs and two DCs.
A neighbor kid drove a DC right through the side of a house trailer. They had two tractors, a DC and a Ferguson. He was used to the Ferguson. He got on the DC, spiked the left brake instead of pulling back on the hand clutch, spun around and went right through the side of the trailer. That was one of the DCs that I had. His dad decided they didn't need it around and sold it to me.
