The Gold demo, if it really is a goldie I'll be will get very close to the asking price providing that it's not a rattle can restro. If the engine, drive train and tires it will bring plenty of cash. Highly desirable in the collector market and in the Holy Grail department for die hard IH fans. Even the 1568 will go for a good price. Fella here sold one last year, rode hard an put away wet. Engine was shot but he had a good engine to go with it. Guy drove from someplace in TX to west MN and paid 5,500 for the tractor as it sat. Again desirable to both collectors and IH nuts. Would I pay that kinda money for those? No. At worst that 100 is a bit high. By about 50% if it's in good condition IMO. But it's not nuts high at 2 to 3 times the value that some guy with an old A or B JD/WD, WD45, CA/H or M Farmall and such. Add in your own for Case, MM, Oliver and others. I have seen people asking 3-5 thousand for decent condition WD45. Or the same money for a restored M. Heck a fully restored Famrall 1206 sold last year at auction for over 40 thousand. Went to a collector in CA. Another sold after that for very close to that.
And we can be honest. The V8 68 series IH tractors were a flop. IH really dropped the ball there. And because that word spread quickly they didn't sell well. IH built 2905 of the 1468 in 3 years. The 1568 sold 862. The 1466 sold 25,264 units and the 15 66 sold 7417. 86 series the 14 sold 21,117 and the 15 13636. Anyway you slice it that makes them a rare tractor. A provable goldie is a rare bird too. Rare tractors sell for higher prices.
