I understand a properly worn mask can hold back a little spray and make things moderately safer in some cases.
When I visit my mother in law outside the old home I will gladly wear it.
I’m glad the professionals at the old home use and change face masks regularly, as they are somewhat trained and supplied with the equipment and it’s use.
When we were waiting at the hospital for word on my brother in law I wore one, hospital sick me right now, maybe it helps.
For day in and day out activities out and a lot put, I gladly stay 6 feet apart as much as possible, and wash my hands more than I ever have.
I’m not so sure in the real world, observing The average Joe, that the face masks are being properly used when we need them all day every day anytime we are in public. I see them worn wrong, used more as a napkin and table wipe than a hygienic tool, fiddled and touched every 5 minutes, and so forth. I wonder if that real world use is actually spreading more germs that it is containing..... I’m not so smart either, but I just wonder, based on simple observation and a little logic.
Then it seems mask wearers tend to get closer than 6 feet, they feel all protected and are reverting to close spaces......
So I’m not all bent out of shape opposed to masks. I think they gave their place.
But I think we are doing it all wrong, us average joes, and the always everyWhere mask rules might make things worse rather than better.
