For hay work I think it would be perfect for you: a little cheaper and a little easier on the hay fields.
It’s more of a ‘real’ size tractor you can load down the rear weight and it will make a fine loader for picking bales. (The size smaller and even smaller tractors the wheelbase gets so short, it gets difficult to keep the rear end planted even weighted a little bit.)
Now, if you wanted to lug out tree stumps, and scoop sloppy manure and push snow all winter, and use it like a bulldozer as many folk try to do. Then the 2wd is a weakness.
But to run over hay fields, and occasional 2nd class loader work in a hay field, it would be the real deal at a bargain.
Would even make a good snowblower tractor, having a little less traction helps prolong the life of a snow blower!
