I bought the Mitsubishi d4000. Took off the injection system and took it to the shop yesterday. They called me back and gave me an estimate and said the injector had water in it. Tech said the water more than likely was casing the runaway problem. It will be ready midweek. Hopefully that will solve the problem.
The existing fuel tank is metal with a strainer where fuel enters the tank. There is a fuel line that goes directly into the injection pump. It was that way from the factory.
Fuel then leaves the injection pump to a fuel filter then back into the pump. The fuel filter bowl is not glass so a visual is not possible.
What do I need to do to insure the fuel is pristine to protect my injection pump?
