Thank you for the link- its basically a rehash of the Grand Conspiracy argument as being perpetuated by the Evil Scientists Guild, but lets take a couple of claims and run through them:

Claim 1) " Environmentalists and their political allies attribute the recent increase in deadly forest fires to global warming. However, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Forest Service, forest fires reached their peak in the 1930s and have declined by 80% since then. Environmentalists hide the earlier data and make their case for the effects of global warming by showing the public and policymakers data from 1980 that shows an increase in forest fires."

Ok, lets see... before the 1930's there was little or no federal forest management nationwide. Many forest fires simply burned themselves out. In the 1930's it was an unusually dry and hot in the U.S. interior, but luckily there were a lot of lazy folks who for some reason refused to work and the federal government (AKA "big gummint") put them to work through the NRA, WPA and CCC. These people fought fires and planted new forests. Their work showed the value of fighting fires and forest management on a nation-wide level. Wild fires had declined since then, UNTIL the upward spike since 1980 that continues until this day- larger and more costly every season- again, neatly correlating with other data since then that shows the effects of a warming planet.

Claim 2) "Climate scientists claim that rising sea levels are caused by man-made global warming. Historical data from the tide gauge in Lower Manhattan.." (I assume they are referencing the Battery Station gauge) "... shows that sea levels have been rising from about the time when Abraham Lincoln was president to now. Heller says that sea levels have been rising for about 20,000 years. He points out that anthropologists believe that when the sea level was very low people were able to walk from Siberia to North America."

Yes, sea levels have been rising since 20,000 years ago, when most fresh water was locked up in massive glaciers during that Ice Age. No mystery there, melting glaciers turn into water, adding water to water causes the mean level to rise. Sea levels have been rising "...from about the time when Abraham Lincoln was president to now.", Yes, the "Little Ice Age" ended around 1850, so were still on track- as before, its no conspiracy that rising temps melt ice and turn it into water. What this article DOESN'T tell you is that the rise in sea level has accelerated since 1980! Sure its a gradual increase, literally a few trillion drops in the ocean, but the CUMULATIVE EFFECT will be higher tides, inundated shorelines and population migrations on a massive scale world wide (Bangladesh, New Orleans, Florida, etc.) One wonders how the authors missed that.......
