I worked with commercial fishermen for a number of years in the 70's and 80's, and as a group, they are very knowledgeable about diesel engines. They all loved their "Suzi" auxilliary engines (most boats have at least one, and as many as three, auxilliary engines to run hydraulics, generators, pumps, etc.) These engines have to be reliable, because if the main quits, its all they have to keep the boat afloat. The Isuzu had a great reputation for durability and reliability.
