Well not so much of a screw-up, but still funny. Used to mow hay with an AC B with a side mounted mower, we always had to watch for bar fouls, rocks, etc. and sometimes after lifting the bar over a rock and continuing around the field on the next round we would forget about the rock.If it was the right height it could lift the whole tractor on the skid plate under the mower frame. Everyone had done it, and sometimes all four wheels would be off the ground in mid air. Now what do you do? Mostly we found rocks and put them under the rear wheels and after a bit you would lurch off the one holding the tractor up. Then there was the time the owner of the farm was baleing with his New Holland 77 and the knoter got tangled in baleing twine and he was having trouble getting it free, all tight and jambed in. Well the hay crew came up and one of the kids smoked I guess and they ended up lighting the thing on fire to get the twine out of the knoter. It worked too good and the grease caught fire and the fire got bigger and bigger. They were in the middle of a field, what to do. Well everyone whipped it out and they pissed on the thing, putting out the fire.
