Dad and I were pulling home our JD 95 combine after it had a major engine fire. The trip went fine (only a mile or so) until we got into the barnyard. I slowed down to make sure the grain head would clear the gate opening and the combine (no brakes after the fire) coasted right into the back of the Farmall 400 I was driving. I still remember seeing that header with all of its teeth, guards and sections coming right at me. I scrambled onto the hood until the tractor pulled away again then got back on the seat. We parked it and counted our blessings. There were some nice, deep gashes in that 400's seat pan.
