You did a LOT of work to the tractor, but sounds like it needed it. If you run across the previous owner and he starts belly-aching about how they "gave" his tractor away, you can mention you had to replace all the electrics just to get it to start and run right. It should be a dependable machine now, and it's used to sickle-bar duty so you won't be throwing some strange job at it that'll only confuse it. I think it's married to that sickle bar, keep them together and everyone will be happy. For the carrot grater, it's been awhile since I've had a dream about not finding a kitchen utensil, but I could dream about ANY of them now and I wouldn't know where they were. All packed away in random boxes after I emptied the kitchen. In my case I'd probably call the grater the "wedge bolts," since that's what I have to buy to get the base of the car lift anchored to the floor. Oddly enough, they sell a good brand, in my size--at Home Depot. No, the car lift isn't in place yet, so I am using my big pickup which is a gas hog until I get the lift installed then move onto the engine swap. Focus has been the kitchen lately, want to make as much progress, get it functional again before cold weather starts. It was more of a galley kitchen, and even though I don't do a lot of cooking these days, when I DO want to make something, I want to do it without bumping into myself. I'll include a photo of the breakfast nook area just to show i've actually been doing something. This is how it looks today. I'll finish up an exterior doorway I removed to allow more wall space--and it was an unnecessary door anyway. Just more for looks than anything. Fortunately the house came with a small amount of leftover exterior siding that matches up with the rest. Saved me a few pennies and some running around because who knows if this color is even available anymore? When I get to the lift and the engine swap, I'm sure everyone here will know about it--not the kind of thing I can keep secret. Post back with the sickle mower and a nice pic with some fresh hay and the sickle bar. Now I'm motivated to get my antique CASE mower together with any missing parts replaced. Not like I'll be making hay, but nice to know I could if I wanted to.
