I had to get a CDL several years ago so I could test drive for my Job. I took all test except Hazardous materials endorsement. (I reserve the right to refuse to drive with Hazardous materials) I was tested by a 3rd party tester (Easy). I also got a school bus endorsement. Cause I had to. A Dot physical is required every 2 years and you have to have proof of (A medical card and a SSN.) My advise would be to study for all the written test as only one drive test is required. Hazardous Materials... you have to retest for it think every couple of years. Don't get it if you don't have to. The thought of having to do it is more intimidating then actually going through with it.
