Dan, it's been years ago since I was on the farm, and I'm going back very soon ... I miss it ... That having been said, how far is the tree leaning? ... and what toward? ... I remember me and my mom pushed while daddy sawed ... That was years ago, but if you have a link to a major limb (preferably a trunk over 60 degrees, and a tractor, and a chainsaw, just do the math, it'll happen) ... Be careful though ... those ropes can snap, you could almost lose a limb, and one could fall that almost killed my father of 82 4 months ago ... His first accident ... Best advice, precise fall, don't go there ... If you have to however, please have enough distance between yourself and the tree and the property you're trying to protect, and if you have a chainsaw, cut a triangle out to make it lean the right way as long as it's not leaning the wrong way, unless you have a strong enough pull on it from the trunk ... k? ... Limbs break unexpectedly ... Like I said, if you can't hire a professional, just look up at it, and do the math ... Be careful, k? ... And please, if you can't see it fall the right way, don't go there ... Best of luck ... Nolan Wade Bradford ... Bham/Cullman AL ...
