[quote="gotmyfarm!"](quoted from post at 16:30:27 07/18/19) Gerrit, advice and recommendations always welcome!

Oh, that's great--then I'll be offering LOTS more advice until you just say "Shut up already!" Glad you have a handle on things, it's important. I'm thinking how far along we are in summer and how we'll be soon looking at fall weather. Make hay while the sun shines, as they say. For me, in addition to regular work, I've decided to do an engine swap in my old Honda CR-V. Yes, I just took it into my regular mechanic to confirm it needs a transmission, because I'd feel awfully silly if I did all that work and someone came along and said oh, it only needed a $15 solenoid. So, that's a pretty massive job for someone like me who's not a mechanic and tends to overthink everything. But wait, there's more! I've got hold of the 2-post automotive lift I always wanted, and it's sitting flat in my workshop bay waiting to be set up. Another motor swap, ironically, because the one that's on it will not run on my current electric hook-up and I don't want to do a work-around like a lot of people suggest. And yes, my lawn needs mowed, too. I tried to hire the neighbor kid who's home from college but he did such a terrible job I just decided I'd go back to doing it myself. Not really swimming in alligators, but sometimes I feel like they're circling. The M tractor with the sickle sounds like the perfect setup, and I still think you got a really good deal. Look forward to seeing pics of everything in action--or at least a happy horse eating some of your new hay!
