In these best-worst discussions I have been saying that when the farm equipment manufacturers put Harry Ferguson's 3 point hitch system on North American built row crops, you have the best tractor. By 1990 they had taken that same tractor and made it the worst with electronic gagetry. I am retired from farming and I hear young men in the business today telling of getting tractors under 3 years old back from the shop and along with it a bill for 12% to 25% of what the tractor cost new. It's highway robbery. There are many many American built row crops built before 1980 that have never been through the dealer's door since they were new.
