I have a Ford 3550 industrial tractor/backhoe with a 3 cylinder gas engine. My problem is this: After running the engine for approximately 10-15 minutes sometimes longer, it will start to miss and I have to choke it to try to keep it running, which usually fails. The engine seems to build pressure that causes radiator fluid to push out the overflow tube. Even if you would only run it for 5 minutes and then shut it down, it will release pressure out the overflow tube. I have tried simple things like flushing the system and replacing the radiator cap with no luck. I took the head and had it surfaced and checked for cracks and replaced the head gasket, but nothing has changed and I am running out of guesses. I hope someone can give me some ideas.
