Well, I certainly take the money that is offered. However, as I post over on www.newagtalk.com, I would rather the government get out entirely than the crazy plans they have these days for farmers - all the money the govt gives to ag just goes straight to higher land cost / rent. No help to farmers there - but you gotta take the money or you are done completely. But, that's a whole 'nother story. :) The way he wrote the message, just hit me kinda wrong. Meant to be more humorous than I musta sounded at the time... But, you know, pigs smell, we gotta outlaw pigs. Gravel roads are dusty, we gotta pave these roads. My well doesn't work right, we gotta have water lines assessed to everyone. Someone might steal my tractor, we better regester all of them.... Seemed like part of that slippery slope. A few folks move out of the city into the country, and then want to bring the city with them. For those few (and I don't mean the original poster here, or anyone who hangs out here) you kinda wonder why they moved???? Just seems to wreck it for the rest of us - including those on 10 acres who enjoy the rural roots of where they live. :) Ok, back to tractor talk from me. --->Paul
